Q&A

How can distant sessions work/do you offer in-person sessions? How will it feel?

There is no need to be in the same location for healing to be successful, although it is lovely to share sacred space together in-person where possible! As a shamanic healer, I work with energy, spirit, the lineage I am initiated into and the different unseen realms. I believe it is mostly spirit that does the actual work on the client, not the healer, and know from many years experience that being in the same location has nothing to do with the success of the healing. However, I understand that coming to my beautiful healing space and taking some time to yourself might be something you wish to experience and I do offer in-person sessions in Cranbourne East, Melbourne, Australia.

How you perceive the session will depend on your unique sensitivity, how open to spirit you are and how deeply you have worked with energy. Although I believe spirit will take the opportunity to step in during every session, feeling energy is for many a skill that has been developed as they healed, worked on their chakras and so forth. Feeling it or not does not necessarily have anything to do with whether or not the session is successful (and remember, YOU heal yourself, it is not 'done' to you). Every session is different depending on what we are working on. You may feel tingling, swirling, energy pushing on you, energy moving around, have visions, feel deeply relaxed...it really depends on what we are doing in your particular session and on YOU.

During my training those used to spiritual healing were always able to tell wherein the energy field I was working, however, this is not necessary for you to benefit from the session. What I will say is that shamanic healing is very powerful and beautiful, but healing takes effort and it is not always easy and comfortable. For example: when working on what you do not like about yourself and the Solar Plexus it would not be uncommon to feel nauseous, you may feel energy shift, move, leave your body. All work is done safely, by a well-trained healer and with the highest good of all as the intent, so there is never a need to worry if you do feel discomfort. Remember, we are working on the energy field and with spirit, we are not working on your actual physical body, so nausea as an example is not a result of something being done to your stomach but rather how your body is reacting to what is done to your energy field. In my experience most sessions are, however, relaxing, deep, transformational and blissful...but we can't reach our highest potential without facing our fears, the uncomfortable and embracing the new. If you, however, are not feeling ready to be involved, work with your light and your dark and face your fears, it may be better to simply have some light energy healing done by e.g. a Reiki healer that can facilitate relaxation and gentle shifts.

To learn more about quantum physics and the research on distant healing I recommend a book called 'The Field' by Lynne McTaggart.

What are your qualifications?

For a list of my qualifications, please visit the 'About' section of this page. In addition to my studies and degrees I have also spent 11+ years on my own spiritual path, have ongoing sessions with a local shaman and others regularly and have worked as a Psychic/Intuitive Tarot reader & teacher, held workshops, am a Certified Past Life Regressionist (Soul Regression Therapy), hold a Bachelor of Science, a Certificate of Basic Hypnosis and more. However, shamanic healing is about the healer being the 'hollow bone' for the client, for spirit to come through. I am not the one that 'heals you' - YOU are. Shamans journey and track information and offer sacred space for spirit to work through the healer. Healing is about YOU going on your OWN journey. I constantly evolve in my work with spirit and keep learning, both through the work I do every day and through ongoing training. At the time of writing this, I have completed my studies at the Four Winds as well as Sandra Ingerman, taken an additional course in Dying & Grieving Consciously and am studying with FLY Kakao, a sacred plant medicine.

Can you work on physical conditions?

Shamans/shamanic healers are NOT doctors. We offer spiritual healing and energy work, which is seen as happening in your energy field and mentally/emotionally & on the soul level. We do NOT 'play doctor' or treat illnesses. We can, however, work on the spiritual and energetic side of what is happening in your life. The aim of the shamanic healer is to help you restore your wellbeing in all aspects of your life and in doing so prevent falling ill in the first place. This, however, is about the actions YOU take through caring for your mind body and spirit and not something the shaman 'makes happen'. To learn more about shamanic healing I highly recommend that you watch a documentary called 'Healing the Luminous Body' and any informative talks you can find online with Dr. Alberto Villoldo.

Shouldn't spiritual work be free?

To work in the spiritual field (and be qualified to do so) healers and others go through rigorous training (at great expense) and work deeply and over many years with spirit and their own healing. This usually happens on the side of full-time work and all other commitments one has as a human on this planet. Whereas it would be wonderful to not have to make money, it is impossible to work for free in the Western world. One could offer free sessions on the side of full-time work, however, that would restrict the healer to only a session or two a week (if that) and not be as helpful as offering paid services full-time and give free ones where possible/as needed/as a special gift. Healers and others do not charge for 'their gifts' - anyone can become a healer, however, unless it is your path you may not be willing to spend years diving deeply into the training and efforts required to walk this path. In other words, in working full-time and being paid for your time you can as a healer help more people than if you worked for free. Personally, I also donate 15% of each sale to various beautiful causes (see footer). I also offer regular free group events, create a ton of free content and much more. I also frequently do giveaways on my mailing list and do pro-bono work when spirit calls me to.

This aside, it makes no sense to presume that anyone can work for free in the civilized world. Would a massage therapist, hairdresser, gardener, receptionist, lawyer or anyone else be able to work for free and still pay their bills? Healing work requires a lot of studies and a deep commitment to your own ongoing development and care for your own field, space, and general wellbeing, it is most certainly not a 'gift' that is provided for free with no cost to the healer. The idea that spiritual services should be free comes from an outdated masculine business model of scarcity, competition and 'work hard in a job you do not like' or 'do it for free' mentality. During one's training, it is required that you work for free of course, like in any other field. I, for example, did 200+ free readings when I learned to be a psychic Tarot reader, I worked for free for 6 months (and beyond) as a shamanic healer during my training at the Four Winds, took several international flights to attend post-training sessions in Germany (whilst on unpaid leave) and much more. I offer free sessions where appropriate (when spirit calls me to help someone who perhaps could not afford to book in). However, I do this from my heart and because I feel called to do so, not because healers 'should work for free' by any means.

Finally, an energy exchange is very important when it comes to working with another human. I have, in the past, worked for free and found that appointments were cancelled, clients were not necessarily invested in their own progress, and so forth. In saving up or manifesting the funds required to have a session, you are more likely to pay attention, work with the healer, and follow up after the session. However, if you are in dire need of help, as a shamanic healer I will do my best to fit you into one of my monthly free sessions where possible.

Rites like the Bands of Power and the Rite of the Womb will ALWAYS be free. No one has the right to charge for these blessings. Rites are given as seeds for you to grow when you are at a stage in your own healing journey where appropriate. I also do a lot of other pro-bono shamanic work like crossing spirits over who are stuck, ceremony etc.

How can I prepare for my session/how do I keep working with the energy after my session?

I will provide information before and after your session to assist you with your healing journey.

Do you offer scholarships?

I offer a limited amount of free sessions each month, depending on my workload. If you feel you are in great need of a session and cannot save up or manifest the funds to help support my work, you can apply for a scholarship. Simply fill in the contact form on the contact page and I will send through a questionnaire for you to fill in to determine if I am the right person to help you/let you know what my availability/waiting list is looking like.

What are Rites?

As a shamanic healer I have received all rites of the Munay-ki throughout my training. The shamanic rites of initiations are given as seeds that you grow, they are not a badge of honour, a sign of accomplishment, nor do they make you 'special'. Rites are given freely to those willing to commit their life to work with the beautiful energy they bring to you. They are essentially an energetic transmission, a rite of passage, and a commitment the healer makes with spirit. I still work on strengthening/developing what I was gifted (e.g. I work with my 'Bands of Power' most mornings, although I have received this particular rite three times and have worked with them for a long time). In other words, the rites are for you to develop and an honour to receive, but they fill little function if you are not going to work with them.

In terms of giving rites, I offer the Rite of the Womb (this may be offered to clients for free or during special events where I will give this beautiful rite to a group of women.) Head to EVENTS to check for upcoming ceremonies! I am a registered 'Womb Keeper' (http://theriteofthewomb.com/directory-of-practitioners/)

I am also able to install the Bands of Power for clients as appropriate. All rites are given freely, however, I am 'responsible' for making sure that whomever I give the Bands of Power to is ready and willing and committed to working with what has been gifted, why you cannot simply request a session to have the bands installed.

20% of all takings on this site are donated to help change the world. Currently, the donations are split between three projects that are close to my heart. First of all the Inca Medicine School that helps Indigenous communities in the Andes (where my shamanic lineage stems from), secondly, Operation Underground Railroad https://ourrescue.org/ that is rescuing children from sex trafficking, and finally a variety of charities that support animals in need. The payments are 20% all up, but how it is divided between the three causes varies and is predominantly focused on giving back to the Q'ero communities via my teacher Don Alejandro Apaza (Inca Medicine School).

Two trees are planted (one in Australia and one in the Amazon) per Shamanic Healing Session booked with me across all platforms.

I wish to offer all Indigenous clients a 15% rate reduction for Zoom sessions

(please contact me before booking in to receive this discount code.)

If you are not Indigenous but struggle to cover the session cost, I am also happy to help offer you a lower rate.

(Please fill in the contact form before booking in to make these arrangements.)

I acknowledge Country and the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the true Traditional Custodians of the land where I live and work and how sacred the land we stand on is. I would like to pay my respects to Elders, past, present, and emerging, and acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
